DSM launched water-based resin business on September 27, at the 2010 China International Coatings exhibition, the resin Business Department of Royal DSM group of the Netherlands announced at the DSM Likang resin press conference that it would implement a new investment plan to further expand the resin business in the Chinese market. The plan includes improving the R & D capacity of new products and increasing the proportion of sustainable products from about 35% to 50% by 2015

Sun Bokai said that DSM is increasing investment and continuously upgrading its current production capacity in order to produce more high-end water-based products. At the same time, it is also improving the R & D capacity of the local sustainable coating program development team to realize the strategic transformation from "made in China" to "designed and developed by China"
last year, DSM implemented several projects to promote the sustainable development of coatings, adhesives and printing ink markets.
